Volunteering as a form of self-care may sound confusing. How does helping others work as a form of self-care? But I wanted to open this conversation and let you know how volunteering has been an outlet for me and has served as something that has helped me grow.

Not everyone has the ability to do this, but if you do I highly recommend it. I stumbled upon a site called Volunteer Match because I had been considering volunteering for a while but wanted to find something that was the right fit. I knew I didn’t have too much time to spare in my life so it had to be something that would only take up a few hours of my week.
